The temple is situated in the village of Edamanal, which  comes under Kollidam Block, Sirkazhi Taluk and Mayiladuthurai District in the state of  Tamil Nadu.

Nearest  important town is Sirkazhi, the Taluk headquarters.  Edamanal is 8 km (5 mi) east of Sirkazhi on the Sirkazhi – Thirumullai Vasal route.  Sirkazhi has a railway  station on the Chennai-Tiruchirappalli main line.  Sirkazhi also has  two bus stations that are well connected with the entire Tamil Nadu.

Directions to Reach the Temple

By car:

From Sirkazhi town, get on the road going east to Thirumullai Vasal (a  town on the seashore of Bay of Bengal).  At the 8 km mark,  turn on Melappalayam Road going south.  Proceed for about 300  meters.  The temple complex is on the right.  Cars can go right up to  the temple gate.

By bus:

Take a bus from Sirkazhi going to Thirumullai Vasal.  Get off at  Edamanal bus stop, which is at the 8 km mark. Go south on Melappalayam  Road for about 300 meters.  The temple complex is on the right.
